Disc Golf at Jack Brooks Park from 2004

Disc golf is one of my favorite hobbies.  I get to visit many parks around Houston and beyond. I also get to make new friends and hang out with some crazy characters. In any city I can find the closest course and I’m sure to make a friend. Jerry Cloud was a Jack Brooks Park local.  He was always complaining about his shots. And yours also if you were hot – even if you were on his team. I seemed to always have a good putting game when I played with him. But you pretty much had to be perfect to beat him on his turf. I only got a few from him. A true salty dog.  He was good people and he will be missed.

These pics are from March 21, 2004.   All day play near the coast.   This course can teach you a lot about playing in the wind.

The old line through the middle.  I hear you can drive a truck through there now.

Since these pics were taken, Jack Brooks is home to two 18 hole courses. Stop by and play if you can.
